My name is Uzair Ahmed & I have a background in Environmental Science. It’s been a phenomenal experience working over the past year as Quality Control Field Tech, because it made me learn a lot about myself on a professional and individual scale. The experience of working in a construction environment made me grew a thick skin due to the nature of the job. Reporting to the supervisor, engineers and sub-contractor on the site made me grew an effective ability to communicate and excel in a team environment. Working overtime and during the hours outside of work to update the documents required in the office made it quite challenging. Yet, I thrived and succeeded without having any experience to begin with. The excessive number of hours working was exhausting, but to be able grind and hustle got very addictive and the hard work paid off quiet well, until I got home sick. My foundation as a learner has varied over the years, acknowledging and acquiring the skills from an aspect of arts and applied sciences. I’ve learned that no matter what I do to enhance my skills further to advance in my career, essentially there are things more valuable in life that I’d rather divert my attention to for the sake of my happiness; My Love for God alone. Having Faith is a blessing that too many people take for granted due to being privileged or for any other reasons that won’t negate the fact that there is a source of enlightenment that is good, pure and in control of our destiny. While I make sure I do what needs to be done to progress professionally, I must not forget the importance of our existence. To be there for my brother or my sister, and to honor my parents as a respectable son.  To have humility in my heart and be there for a friend in need. To be able to build relationships, on a personal or a professional level, with Positivity. I believe through teaching myself attain and master the skills of creating content progressively, I can have a platform that allows me to stay discipline and remain passionate. I want to be able to continue exploring this side of mine until I’m close to becoming someone I’ll always consider; A published writer.
